ABOUT THE AREA
Haworth Moor is situated in the South Pennines of West Yorkshire near Keighley. The route from Lancashire was via Hebden Bridge with parking at Penistone Hill Country car park about 1km north west of Oxenhope grid SE26370.
Further down off Moorside Lane, there is a foot path leading up to an old shooting lodge (Harbour Lodge) beyond which the land opens out into expansive moorlands. On parts of our footpath the moorland heather was spectacular and sometimes waist high. Whilst the moorlands were mostly deserted there was an abundance of moorland wild life from wild grouse to meadow pippits, not forgetting an unexpected swarm of bees crossing our path. No doubt searching for heather honey.
HAWORTH MOOR
It was a long steep climb up to see Withins Top associated with the well known 'Wurthering Heights' and the Bronte Sisters from Haworth. We also met the new inhabitants of the ruins with a flock of sheep before approaching Bronte Way and Bronte Bridge.

ABOUT THE FILMING
It was an exceptionally hot day for filming, so a blustery wind helped to cool myself and camera down. Choosing what to film is often in the moment, particularly when it's not expected. On Top Withens Ruin a sudden appearance of a flock of sheep wandering in and out of the ruins was quite a distraction. Similarly the unusual is another opportunity for filming. Many of the footpath signs on route, were written in Japaneses as well as English. (No doubt catering for the many overseas tourists visiting from that area).
