Countryside Walking
About
Originally from Bristol, Somerset, it was not until moving to the North West I started walking. Since then walking has been a hobby of mine for many years. In fact initially, I joined different walking groups around Manchester and gained experience in what to wear and gear to carry around. During that time, I tackled various types of walks from easy short trails, to longer difficult walks, such as the challenge of Mount Snowdon in Wales, Old Man Coniston in the Lakes and a few others.
The inspiration to record my walks first started through photography before filming began.
Countryside Walking evolved as a channel on Youtube from about 2012. Starting out as a social activity with the company of Michael who also had experience in climbing and mountaineering. Sharing experiences in walking, Michael's knowledge of navigation, landscape history, archeology and geology combined with my filming. Countryside Walking soon emerged. With the addition of my music production, this enabled me to add my own soundtrack to each film.
