ABOUT THE AREA
Another lockdown, but once again falling back on finding local walks. It was therefore surprising to discover that both The Rochdale Way and Dunwood Park could be accessed through countryside and public footpaths close to home.
The Rochdale Way runs between Newhey and Milnrow. The route is part of a long distance circular walk of 45 miles, but also local to us. However, our route included a short section of The Rochdale Way which was joined at a section near to the M62 Rochdale. Leaving the motorway crossing behind us, the public footpaths became less accessible so offered new terrain to explore. However, the ordeal of managing so much after heavy rain meant less time to complete full walk, although we did stop at Dunwood Park for a drink before returning.

ABOUT THE FILMING
Trying out my new gopro camera proved positive. It' much smaller than my video, light and easy to carry particular when reaching more slippery farmland steeped in deep mud. There was also the moment when a few stray cows came hurrying towards me on the farm track road. Luckily I remained safe from harm and was able to capture filming them passing me in the opposite direction. But most helpful was how steady it was with level horizons controlled in the resulting film.

ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK MUSIC -
The music for this video was composed using my keyboards for piano melodies and various instrumentals to support the theme. It has quite a haunting refrain and appropriately called 'After The Rain' in keeing with the sunshine which appeared after the rain when the walk was made.
Title : 'After The Rain'
Style : Ambient/Easy Listening
